The Story – Rifo – Hiroshiman Vol. 1 (2017)

Rifo – Hiroshiman Vol. 1 (2017) : Hiroshiman was first published in 1993 in issue 39 of the monthly comic strip Psikopat, then in albums by Éditions du Zébu. The very first plate of Hiroshiman, drawn in 1991 by Rifo, appears among the gallery of drawings published at the very end of volume 1 of this integral. Hiroshiman is the result of an absurd and effective synopsis, heralding an apocalyptic future. A kind of anticipation science fiction completely barred. And, surprisingly, always timeless and topical. humor in the second, even in the third degree of the boards of Rifo also denounces the absurdity of a humanity which has yielded to the advances of nuclear power and which leaves a planet strewn with radioactive waste. In terms of energy, Hiroshiman’s powers run on plutonium bars. Over the boards, this rather phlegmatic superhero faces the many threats hanging over Megalopolis. And there is work. In this gigantic overcrowded urban labyrinth, he fights, by means of not always very Catholic techniques, monsters and mutants against a backdrop of dirty humor, punctuated by the random appearances of lascivious pairs of breasts, because Rifo also has a good eye for these things. Volume 1 of The Complete Hiroshiman is 116 full-color pages coated in a phosphorescent semi-rigid cover.
