Sword of Sorcery #1 – 5 (1973) : Fantasy became a DC reality when writer/editor Denny O’Neil and artist Howard Chaykin brought forth a new comic based on novelist Fritz Lieber’s adventurous and virtuous warriors of myth, Fafhrd the Barbarian and the Gray Mouser. After making their comics debut less than a year earlier in Wonder Woman #201 – 202, the heroic pair of towering brute Fafhrd and cunning theif Mouser ravaged the medium in “Sword of Sorcery.”
