The White Widow (2002) : On their wedding day, Valerie and Laurent de Maximy are in a car accident. Valerie escapes the wreckage unscathed, but her husband does not survive. She locks herself in her in-laws’ house, but Frederic, the deceased’s brother, forces open the front door. Valerie is hysterical and tries to force him out. But first, she tells him her big secret: she entered the marriage as a virgin, but her husband, an incorrigible party animal, cheated on her the day before their wedding. A few days later, the girl disappears after emptying all her bank accounts. Frederic becomes fascinated by the girl, whom he barely knows. He hires a detective and follows her. The search takes him crisscrossing Europe, later also to Egypt and the United States. The traces the girl leaves behind become increasingly bloody… Who is Valerie?
